How is a secured credit card different from a debit card?

A secured credit card requires an upfront cash deposit that acts as a safeguard in the event you miss a monthly payment. When you spend with your secured credit card, it will draw down against your approved credit limit. As long as on-time monthly payments are made to your secured credit card, it will not draw from your cash deposit. A secured credit card will also help to build your business credit score. On the contrary, when you spend with a debit card it pulls money directly from your bank account (not a credit limit) and transactions will not count towards building your business credit score.
